BRENT
President/Founder
Brent founded HUI in 2005 between his freshman and sophomore year at DePaul University with one thing in mind, to do it better than everyone else. Brent believed that people deserved better service than the industry provided when it came to an investment in home entertainment. Since day one, Brent believed that he could do it better, and he would work harder to deliver a better customer experience than anyone in the industry. Hooked Up Installs has become an industry leader in the Chicago land area and has been recognized by both clients and manufacturers for outstanding service, quality, and system design/integration.
Brent enjoys meeting with clients and working together to find the best possible solutions for their needs. His roles include client consultation, system design, team leadership, and everything else it takes to run a successful business! He will do whatever it takes to ensure the client is happy, and he is never satisfied. He always is pushing himself to be better and better toward reaching new heights. Once one goal is hit; it is off to the next one!
He enjoys golfing, watching sports, and spending time with his wife Allie and their two kids, Lucy and Carter.
TIFFANY
Office Manager
Tiffany joined the HUI team as office manager with expansive experience in the automotive industry. With over 20 years of leadership in office management and compliance, her skill-set fits perfectly with our business and industry. Her willingness to do whatever she can for our team and our clients creates such a positive work environment for our success. Tiffany’s attention to detail insures we have everything we need and are ready to serve our clients. In her free-time, she enjoys running and spending time with her family.
ADAM
Senior Lead Technician/Advanced Tech Support
Adam was the second member of the Hooked Up Installs team, and he is not only great at his job, but he is a great person. For over a decade, he has been doing a tremendous job helping to grow the business by overshooting client’s expectations. All our clients will attest that Adam is a genuine, detailed, and caring person, and he goes above and beyond. He currently helps all our existing clients with their service needs, assists our team on our most high profile installations, excels at high-level home automation programming, and will do anything that needs to be done. He even coined the slogan “If it’s just connected, it’s not Hooked Up!”
RAY
Senior Lead Technician/Advanced Shade & Lighting Specialist
For over a decade, Ray has been an elite member of the team. He is a craftsman when it comes to installation and quality, and if there is someone that can make anything happen it is Ray. He is an out of the box thinker, and he takes the utmost pride in his work. He is one of the best installers in the industry and has been vital in the success of the business. He currently runs all aspects of the installation crews to ensure our team has all the details needed to do the job, oversees all installations, and puts his name on the finishing touches of our product. He is a master technician when it comes to automated lighting and window treatments. He is patient, thoughtful, and really cares about being the best. MIKE
Director of Commercial & Residential Window Treatments
Growing up, Mike spent afternoons, weekends, holidays and summer vacations helping his mom in her drapery sewing workroom. After 15 years of working in San Francisco-based family business, Horner & Company, Mike ventured out to start AWT focusing primarily on motorized projects such as ordering and installing Lutron Shades or retrofitting Roman shades with Somfy motors. Many of his installation projects are manual from J Art Iron to Kirsch to Stroheim & Romann drapery hardware. Mike joined Hooked Up Installs to help grow the shading side of the business while focusing on an unbeatable product and service.
Mike has attended motorized trainings with Lutron, Somfy, Silent Gliss, BTX, Goelst and Hunter Douglas. With hundreds of installations and service calls, there is no problem too big or too small.
DAVID
Senior Lead Technician /Service
David has been an impactful force ever since he joined the team over 9 years ago. David strives for perfection and takes a lot of pride in going above and beyond for our clients. His ability to not give up when a challenge arises is what allows him to provide the quality he has been delivering for years, and if it can be done David will make it happen. David’s work excellence has been proven on all types of different installations including home theater rooms, total home audio video systems, and some of the most detailed systems that we have installed. He is currently mostly providing service to our existing clients when they need help with their technology.
BEN
Sales & Systems Designer
Ben has been in the AV industry for over 20 years, and his experience and skills are second to none. He has a great reputation in the business, and he joined HUI in 2020 as a system designer and salesman to continue to service his clients at the highest level. Ben’s customer relationship and follow up skills fit right in, and Ben has added a great dynamic to our business. He is a true professional who truly understands system design and providing our clients with the right solutions for their needs.
DILLON
Senior Lead New Construction Technician
Dillon has risen as the leader of our construction division when it comes to new home pre-wiring. He is responsible for the infrastructure that runs our entire home entertainment systems, and even though at the end of the project, most of Dillon’s work is behind the walls, the team knows the importance of his work. Every day he is working to get better and better, and he will never be satisfied until he achieves perfection. Dillon is honest, hardworking, and really cares about his craft and is a valued member of the team.
JACK
Senior Lead Technician
Jack has over eight years of experience in the construction material industry, and he began with HUI in 2016. He works on all types of installations from hanging flat panel TVs to home theater rooms to whole home audio installations. Jack assists in all aspects of the jobs to make sure we are exceeding customer expectations and providing an unrivaled customer experience. He is dedicated, prompt, and an asset to the team plus he is easy to talk to! So look for Jack on your next home theater installation.
EDDIE
Lead Technician
Eddie has been with smiling with HUI for over a year and a half now, and he came to our company with a lot of experience in the industry. Eddie is the type of guy that just does things without having to be asked, and he goes above and beyond for not only our clients, but also for our teammates. Eddie is the first one to grab a shovel to help dig out the office ladies after a big snow storm. He is a craftsman, knows what he is doing, is just someone you want to be around! He is in love with Milwaukee tools; you will know Eddie when you see him because he has Milwaukee everything!
BRANDON
Lead Technician
Brandon joined our team after relocating from Texas back to his home state of Illinois. Brandon has over 17 years in the audio video industry and prides himself on providing an exceptional customer experience with a high quality end result. He has knowledge in all aspects of AV including audio video distribution systems, lighting control, Wi-Fi systems, and all other types of home automation. He has fit right in with our team to continue on the success of our company.
JEFF
Technician
Jeff came to Hooked Up Installs with extensive experience in the film and movie theater industry. He began his career as an installer/technician working with 35 mm film and changed with the industry as digital became the norm. Jeff’s experience also includes troubleshooting IT and networking configurations, diagnosing and troubleshooting audio, video, and automation systems, calibration and set up of digital projectors, audio processors, amplifiers, and automation controllers, and providing exceptional customer service. Jeff’s knowledge and skills will allow him to provide you with the fine-tuned theater and automation system of your dreams professionally calibrated by a true industry veteran.
ERICH
New Construction Technician
Erich and Dillon have made quite a team on the new construction side of the business, but Erich can do much, much more. His personality is infectious, he is a quick learner, and he can talk to anyone! His passion, personality, and willingness to learn is the reason is why he is an asset to our company and will be for years to come.
MARIA
HR & Accounting Manager
Maria joined HUI in 2020 as Accounting and HR Manager, and she has fit right in! With a BA in Economics from DePaul University, she works with our clients on contracts, deposits, invoicing, and customer follow-ups. After a career in the medical field, she has really become an integral part of our business. We wish we would have found her sooner and not only is she a hard worker, but she is a terrific person! Outside of work, Maria is a terrific Mom to two boys and loves to bake. We are truly lucky to have her on our team!
DOMINIC
Technician
Dominic started off as our warehouse specialist, but we quickly learned his skills are better fit as a technician in the field. Dominic has an infectious positive attitude to do whatever it takes to get the job done, and he has been a great addition to our team. He is always looking to help out no matter the task whether preparing the jobs for installation, doing full installations, or helping out at the warehouse.
